Former Prairie View A&M running back Johnta' Hebert is headed north of the border after signing with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Hebert was signed earlier this week and will hit the field immediately as training camp kicked off several days ago. He will compete for playing time at running back with his first preseason contest scheduled for June 11 versus the BC Lions. Saskatchewan will play an 18-game regular season schedule with two preseason games. The official start to the regular season begins on June 30 versus Toronto. The team is also playing its final season in historic Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field with a brand new stadium scheduled to open in 2017.
