Defensive Player of the Week DeVohn Reed Prairie View A&M Defensive Tackle DT | R-Jr. | 6-2 | 265 lbs. | Houston, Texas Reed was a handful for Mississippi Valley, posting 10 tackles (six solo) and three stops behind the line of scrimmage. Special Teams Player of the Week Anthony Wiltz Prairie View A&M Wide Receiver/Return Specialist WR/RS | R-Sr. | 5-10 | 155 lbs. | Houston, Texas Wiltz only had four touches in Prairie View's 56-21 win over Mississippi Valley, but he made the most of them, scoring three touchdowns and accounting for 151 all-purpose yards. In addition to an 18-yard scoring scamper and a 49-yard touchdown catch, he took a punt 77 yards to the house in the first half to give the Panthers a 14-7 lead early on. Newcomer of the Week Terrence Singleton Prairie View A&M Defensive Back DB | Sr. | 5-11 | 200 lbs. | Houston, Texas Singleton posted seven tackles (four solo) and nabbed a career-high two interceptions in the Panthers' win over Mississippi Valley State. Singleton's first pick was taken 44 yards the other way for a score, and in the third quarter, he got his hands on another pass, returning it 19 yards and setting up another PVAMU touchdown. The senior has three interceptions in the last two games.

I really don't think these DB's will let GSU pass deep on us this year. Now the question is can we stop up that running game without weakening that coverage.

I like where we are defensively, for the most part, and offensively, considering all the newbies who are attempting to gel.
It'll be a hard fought contest Saturday vs gsu.

I like our chances this year, we are taking special teams more serious now and after last SFC we understand that can be bad if you don't.

It's the run I'm worried about. Teams seem to have been able to run on their left side of the line.

Grambling has struggled running the ball this year and I don't think our pass rush will give Kincade enough time to sit back and pick the secondary apart. He'll be running for his life Saturday. We will be the first team to match or surpass Grambling's speed and physicality this year.

In regards to pass rush if you noticed in the 2nd half of the Valley game we had 4 CBs on the field (Singleton, Lockett, Holley, and Parker) at the same time. Holley and Lockett were used inside as nickles and blitzed on occasion...

I've watch many times over the years that we can flush these QB's but then they take off running in wide gaps for 10+. At the rate it had been going I dayum near prefer the QB's stay in the pocket and we break up passes or pick them off.

I agree.. Many times the rush is so the QB can get the ball out of his hands quickly which forces errant throws. Hopefully we get our hands on him and decrease the amount of time he has in the pocket.

Remember Kincaide had a good time last game because Alcorn pass defense is 10 in SWAC and total defense is 8th, not sure our defense will be that soft for him
